I just viewed the amateur taping of the attack on the WTC. I saw the whole episode that day on TV and thought it was shocking enough, but viewing it from the perspective of an actual NYC citizen, and from an apartment house window was just too much. It seems like it just happened again while viewing the tape and I wanted to shout to the people to GET OUT OF THERE but realized it would do no good. Then when the smoke and debris started to head for their apartment I was glad to hear they turned off the AC and shut the windows. Anyone who thinks the American government had something to do with this tragedy should be sent a copy of this tape to view, I'm sure they would change their minds. May God forgive the attackers, and may He look upon us as confessed sinners who ask for His guidance to overcome our mistakes and shortcomings so that nothing like this happens again.

It is more than horrible to see and imagine this horrible day (again)....
I feel with all this people who lost someone, get injured or had to see this attack....

The responses of some folks here are unfortunate. To use this footage in pursuit of an ideological goal (i.e. anti-abortion) or in furtherance of an ancient grudge (i.e. Serbia) is inexcusable. Not everything exists as fodder to be used in a hyperemotional war.

I for one found this footage compelling and appreciate it being posted here.

And on that day -- and every day since -- there were 3,000 abortions. In the United States. The people in this country can't even identify who the enemy is. Pogo was right: "We have met the enemy and he is us."

Rather than amend the policies that provoke such attacks* the US has committed to killing everybody in the world with the capacity and gonads to launch them. All financed by Joe and Jane Taxpayer to the tune of millions of dollars per minute and vastly more expensive than the policy of not 'messing with' other people needlessly that Mr. & Mrs. Taxpayer believe(d) that the government was pursuing to start with.

I grow less and less patriotic with each passing day.

* and that's assuming the conspiracy theory people are wrong -- a proof not yet established to my satisfaction.

That's what US has done to my entire country for more than 3 months. And get this, action was called Merciful Angel. Your country deserves much much worse in my humble oppinion.

i wanted to thank you for the up close perspective you were able to give us from your personal point of view with family and friends near you. i am not going to critique how you created it, or edited it -- instead, i am going to thank you for filming it, and sharing it. i was deeply moved by what occurred on September 11, 2001 -- and it has personally impacted me as i have changed life paths from experiences i had that day, and many years following.

we should only be so lucky that our devastation that day was limited in many ways -- knowing how many people have died since that day -- both US Citizens, and many innocent civilians... whether it has been from terror, war, or even natural disasters -- our world is a connected and small world -- and only if -- we could take a moment to reflect, and be grateful to be alive -- perhaps we will go further in our own lives for all of those who have lost their lives.

I dont understand why you would leave out the second plane crashing in to the tower. Why did you fast forward the first tower falling? I appreciate you showing this to every one. Its important to see.

2. Its terrible from the human side to see these pictures and know that so many innocent people have been killed in vain.
3. I cannot make myself feel any symphathizing with the general american people tough. And you cannot actually expect that from anyone who has ANY knowledge whatsoever about what lead to these attacks. You cannot expect someone to pity you if you have killed millions of civilians in the country these attackers were from/fighting for. And I said these peolpe have died in vain because america didnt learn from its mistakes but instead is killing even more innocent civilians in afgahnistan and iraq RIGHT NOW. I wonder how you could ever expect people to pity you.
4. I dont think, this gives any of a new perspective as what to happened. it just gives another amateur filmers point of view who wanted to tape something to get attention afterwards. I'm sorry if that hurts you but a lot of things like that are and were done and I don't believ you make any difference.

I have to say I agree with much of what dontbugme says, the event really didn't affect me too much. Of course it was unpleasant and it wasn't what I wanted to happen. But before I watched the video I kept thinking that "I hope this isn't the same old crap with the cameras in closeup just mixed together with some sad music". Don't get me wrong, that stuff is sad and terrifying, but not when you have seen it a thousand times. I think I kind of related to a hollywood movie when I saw those pictures, and didn't think it was very real. I can acctually say that this video put a human face on the event for me. I almost feel like crying right about now.

I think it's safe to say that my hands are shaking about as much as yours. Thank you for uploading this video. It really had an affect on me, and I hope it will affect other people as well.

I must say, your video is amazing. I have never seen any footage as good as yours, I had no idea on what the whole event looked like, or the dust that covered everything and how far the cloud spanned. Your video could really put the event in better perspective. I'm from Australia, and my dad was in USA at the time. I haven't been directly affected by the event but your video demonstrates an aspect of what is may have been like.
