DC BOEE: Marc Borbely Denounces Decision, June 7, 2007

Marc Borbely, FixOurSchools.net, denounces the decision of the DC Board of Elections and Ethics to reverse and revoke the referendum campaign led by Mary Spencer. This referendum would have allowed District voters to approve or deny the drastic governance changes proposed by Mayor Fenty and approved by the DC City Council. By reversing their decision, the DC BOEE continued an act of blatant disregard for the democratic rights of District residents to ratify changes to the District Charter, especially one which eliminates an elected Board of Education. June 7, 2007.
