There are enlightened beings all around us, trying to help us. But the way they help us is to teach us how to help ourselves. And so one of the most obvious manifestations of the divine in our lives is in the form of our teachers who are doing the work of the Buddhas. The enlightened ones can also come as our husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, or our children. Do we really know who the people close to us really are?
