My interest in pop cultural female representation stems from my amusement at the irreconcilability of femininity in real life with televised sexual beauty. 2 Girls 1 Cupcake is my rendition, parody and transformation of Marco Fiorito’s late viral porn video 2 Girls 1 Cup (2007). Appropriating the lavish coprophragic eroticism of 2G1C with the sugar-driven femininity featured in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2006), I attempted to realize the conceptual metaphor of “orgasmic” taste by exploiting and extending the animalistic and apparently-stupid pornstar stereotype.
