August Hail Storm in Dallas

I shot this short clip from my front porch in Frisco, TX on August 4, 2005 during a heavy hail storm. The hail was about 1/2 inch and as you can see it was seriously coming down. If you get caught in this type of hail for any amount of time you can sustain injurys, and it will tear apart most cheap umbrellas. Basically you just have to get under some cover and wait for it to pass. Also, it's not uncommon in Texas to get some golf ball sized hail which can do serious damage - and we've even had baseball sized hail which literally kills people.
