This is a live documentation of an interactive video art work called Conflicted Love. The work is built using Flash and is running on an iMac with iSight. This documentation is from the OCAD Hyperspace show 2007. Conflicted Love is a piece about the unnatural ebb and flow of volatile relationships. We have all experienced it at some point; we feel so passionately about someone that we want to be near them, yet when something goes wrong, we push them away, only to be inevitably drawn back to them once again. In the piece, a woman on the screen beckons you to get closer as you approach the screen. Once you are close, she angrily tells you to leave. As you are leaving, she apologetically asks you to come back, and when you return, she insists you leave again. You are caught in a loop, torn between love and hate.
