You say there is nothing to show.
You don't believe in God because you can't see him. Well, look at it like this. Let's say you're inside your home. You look outside and see trees moving. You automatically assume that trees are moving because of wind. You can't feel the wind, you can see the wind but you know its wind.
Same for God. There is proof all around you. Peoples lives are effected by God all the time. Like when trees are moving and you know its wind, peoples lives are changed and they know its God.
That how I see it.
You believe that there is no God. If that is true, your life, my life, all life has no purpose. No purpose at all. Just some carbon on a rock floating in space. If that's what you truly believe, that's sad. If you believe that you make your own purpose, you purpose is meaningless all the same.
Thats how I see your world view.

You can't compare God with the wind. Because there's just one BIG difference between them. The wind has been scientifically proven to exist. If you go outside, you can feel the wind. And I bet some smart scientists can also see the wind.
And it's easy enough to say your religion is the truth, right? Well what about Muslims? or Jews? Or anything else? If you can't even agree on the truth, why do people trust you guys with so much power? You religious people have control over lots of things. You even manage to squirm your way into sports such as football.
Christians have tortured people in the past over not believing in their religion.
And also, you can't just say "God isn't powerful enough to stop war". Would you really worship a God who is that weak? Another excuse is "God gave us freedom"... Well think about little children for a minute... They have the freedom to go jump off a cliff or whatever, but their parents don't allow them for their own safety. What kind of parent is your "God"?
But really, I have no problem if you want to shy away from science and rot away believing in a better afterlife, the thing that pisses me off is how much power you people have. If you're gonna go down like that, don't bring us all down with you.
Myself I'm a Satanist. But I follow that because myself I believe I've saw evidence. I still respect other's beliefs tho', until given reason otherwise. Like with sosmither's comment.
Also I support you, sexyjenna79. Even tho' I am a Satanist, I support skeptics because they, like myself, put logic and reason before superstition. Even now, until I've saw some solid evidence, I also put my religion aside if a more logical explanation of things is available.
