Job Outlook in Lansing, Michegan is about to improve as Governor Jennifer Granholm approved Senate Bill 1380 and signing it into legislation. The Bill, sponsored by Senator Jason Allen, gives authorization to the Michegan Strategic Fund to allocate up $45 million dollars from the 21st Century Jobs Trust Fund. This fund will assist in the Centers of Energy Excellence program to establish and operate the development of alternative-energy technology. The new program called the Centers of Energy Excellence was created and unites companies, educational institutions, and the state together in next generation research, development, and to bring new technologies to the market. One of those technologies involves creating a plant that will produce ethanol from wood fiber. The new initiative will create new jobs as part of Governor Granholmâs proposed mission in furthering Micheganâs economic stimulus package.
